Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day

Love, Beatrice

Bringing Beatrice Home

Puppy Day has finally arrived! Doug and are so excited to announce that we brought our baby Beatrice home yesterday. She is 9.5 weeks old and is already getting to be a big girl! She is adorable and very cuddly. We can tell that in addition to her dark hair she got her mom's love for sleeping. Yesterday we spent the afternoon showing Beatrice the house and working with her on going outside to go potty. She has her daddy's brains as she has VERY quickly learned that if she goes to the backdoor we will take her out and she goes potty outside. Beatrice has also figured out that going out to go potty means time to play in the show, a favorite! We are so proud to show off our beautiful new Tibetan Mastiff puppy, Dunebridge's Eliza Beatrice.

Snow Day

Last week went great for Doug. He reported to the boat and met all his fellow officers. Doug is now settling into a daily routine and getting in the swing of things. Saturday evening the Captain and his wife hosted a Hail/Farewell for Doug. All of the officers and wives got together for dinner in a more relaxed setting to get to know everyone. We both feel very welcomed and Kristin, the Captain's wife, gave me a very beautiful pendant of the boat's seal.
I was pretty under the weather last week but was able to return to work Tuesday and am feeling much better. Today I headed in to work for my second day back and an hour later they decided to close due to the winter blizzard heading our way. We are definitely in the middle of a Winter Wonderland! Everything is white and apparently the snow is supposed to keep coming down - we are looking at over a foot by this afternoon. I have forgotten what it feels like to have a 'snow day' but I am really enjoying having the day off from work. "Let it snow, let it snow, Let it snow!"
