We got rained on off and on throughout the weekend but both Doug and I enjoyed the cool rain (something I don't often experience where we live on Oahu) and breeze coming through the hotel room. I actually felt chilly a few times (something I miss from the mainland!).
For those of you who know our story, we got married and immediately headed for Saratoga Springs where Doug headed back to work just two days after our wedding. So, no real honeymoon for us. But, that is ok because I am a "make lemonaid" kind of lady and came up with a great, non-traditional solution. Doug and I get to take 14 "Honeymoon Days." These are days where we are doing something special or seeing someplace new together. Our goal is to spread out the "honeymoon phase" and never take each other for granted. Our previous honeymoon days included a trip to see Niagara Falls and a trip to Disney World. Anyhow, the trip to Kauai is going on to the list of "Honeymoon Days."
Other than just exploring, enjoying the cool weather, and spending time together, our trip highlight was ziplining. Here are a few pictures:
