Baseball Auction

Tonight is the annual charity auction hosted by the Submarine Officers' Spouses Association here in Pearl Harbor.  I am helping out with the dessert part of the auction and am donating two different desserts - individual Oreo cheesecakes and then chocolate "baseball" cupcakes.  Here is a picture of the baseball cupcakes - not the prettiest but I made them with love!  I will add more pictures a little later.

Mom on the Beach next to the Monk Seal
February was a really busy month around here and I seem to have a lot of catching up to do as far as the blog goes.  Not only was a busy getting adjusted to school, my mom came out to Hawaii for a week long visit.  We had a great time together and I really loved having her around, especially during the time that Doug was away in San Diego.  Some highlights from her trip include snorkeling and seeing a monk seal on the beach next to us (there are only about 1000 left in the world), going to a luau, going to the Pearl Harbor Memorial, and going to the Hawaiian Plantation Village.  Here are a few pictures from her visit.

More Roses - this time from my Handsome Husband

Doug is so sweet to me and treats me so well!  Doug was gone to San Diego for a week in February and when he came home he gave me these beautiful roses which are my favorite flower.

My Rose Bush

Last weekend Doug and I decided to go out and buy some new plants for our backyard.  My favorite purchase was a rose bush.  In the last week I noticed a small bloom that has opened up and turned into a beautiful flower.  This makes me so happy and I love going out into the backyard to look at the flower that I sort of grew myself.
